BOARD OF APPEALS
NOTICE OF MEETING
MARCH 15, 2001
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Zoning Appeals will meet at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 15, 2001 in the Auditorium at the Gorham High School to consider the following:
A. Acceptance of the Minutes of the February 15, 2001 Regular Meeting.
B. Appeal #01-07 – The appeal of Al and Elaine Liberio requesting a 300 square foot total area variance and an 8 foot side line variance for construction of a 20 foot by 24 foot two-story building to house two home occupations, a woodworking shop and an art studio on property owned by Mark and Cille Eastman at 113A South Street (Map 106, lot 8) which is in the Urban Residential District.
Appeal #01-08 – The appeal of Elwell George Gammon, Jr. requesting a 6,145 square foot area to convert 2/3 of the first floor of an existing building formerly used as office space to a residential dwelling unit on property he owns at 12 Elm Street (Map 102, lot 163) which is in the Urban Commercial District.
Appeal #01-09 – The administrative appeal of Susan Duchaine whereby she requests the Board to reverse the decision of the Code Enforcement Officer, whereby he ruled that two duplexes to be constructed on two proposed new adjacent lots would require subdivision review and sprinkler systems in all units or a fire pond to service the units unless there was an existing hydrant within 1,000
feet on property she owns at Route 25 (Map 78, lot 3) which is in the Rural District.
Appeal #01-10 – The appeal of Hannaford Bros. Co. requesting that variances previously granted by the Board for a 10% reduction in the required open space and a 3 foot setback variance on property they own at 99 Main Street (Map 102, lots 149, 150, 151, 152, 152.1, 154, 155, 157, 160) which is in the Urban Commercial District be reinstated.
